The Sokoto government promises development projects and brings a N526 billion 2025 budget into law.

The 2025 appropriation bill was signed into law by Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu, who reaffirmed his commitment to completing more development projects and enhancing the quality of life for all residents of the state.

Speaking at the signing ceremony on Friday, Aliyu emphasized his administration's determination to build on the accomplishments thus far and called the 2024 budget's implementation a resounding success.
The budget, which is valued at over N526 billion, shows the governor's dedication to economic growth and infrastructural development by allocating 66% of its expenditures to capital projects.

The governor stated that the focus of this government is on a number of areas and cooperative efforts with civil society organizations, NGOs, and development partners.

Aliyu also highlighted security as a primary concern for the upcoming year and promised the public that his administration will continue to support efforts to combat banditry and other illegal activities.

The governor thanked the Sokoto State House of Assembly and praised the members for passing the bill on schedule, saying it was evidence of their commitment to the people's well-being.

Tin-Can Customs' revenue target is N1.130 trillion while it generates N716 billion.

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Tin-Can Island command revealed on Tuesday that the amount of money it made from products brought into the nation in 2023 was an incredible N716 billion. Compt. Dera Nnadi, the Customs Area Controller for the Command, provided information about the activities in 2023 and the aim for 2024 in Lagos. The command's income target for 2024 is N1.130 trillion.
